For those who are interested in MIDI sequencing:
(as posted on Slashdot)
The makers of Jazz++ announced today that they will be open sourcing
their next version, scheduled to be released in February.
(as posted on Freshmeat)
There's a brand new sequencer called Muse that seems to be competing
very closely with Brahms and Melys (based around the "tracks and
parts" metaphor; uses QT; and claims to implement track list, event
list, piano roll, and notation views). MIDI only, no audio.
(and now the rant)
Why so many clones of Cakewalk and Cubase? Am I the only one who's
trying to do something fairly different in hopes of it being better?
