I absolutely agree here. Per-track editing right in the multitrack
application can actually be a *requirement* to get serious work done,
depending on what you're doing, and how you do it. There's no such
thing as the perfect design, but there are a lot of users that depend
on this way of working, so it's definitely one thing that should be
in any serious multitrack app.
