  on a related note:

  there is new documentation on the www.opensound.com

  the promise of update was there for so long that I stopped checking
the site at all, so I thought other might have not notice the update
too. there is also pdf version of docs (a bit better for printing out).

  I haven't read it all yet but your questions are answered in there...
