absolutely. every programmer should work with the system he
implemented. there is nothing that can replace personal experience. it's
not that programmers don't care but if they don't use the system they
simple have no knowledge about using the system... [ok, so sometime they
don't care]
obviously, that's the power of the opensource - the users of the
software can actually do something about the software, in most cases
primary implementor is user (otherwise why would he create the program
for free in the first place?).
