Well, I can't skip the sox step because cdrecord doesn't seem to
like the wav files created by mpg123. It reports:
cdrecord: Bad audio track size 57954816 for track 01.
cdrecord: Audio tracks must be at least 705600 bytes and a multiple
of 2352.
And running it through a pipe runs much faster than converting mp3
to wav, converting wav to cdr, and removing the wav. If you have a
lot of files to do, that matters.
And anyway all the complication can be removed with a very short
shell script.
