Yep, that's why all of those synths have incredible price/performance
compared to all other brands. Creative manufactures those chips in
incredible numbers, so they're practically for free, while most other
synths are built around very expensive motorola DSPs and the like.

Well, Creative own E-mu... and Ensoniq. That suggests that E-mu is
hardly going to compete in the consumer price range. However, if
Creative releases the programming specs for the EMU10k1, we might
have a great deal of fun with our $50-$200 range cards eventually. :-)

And unfortunately, it probably won't be the Guys With Thi Chips;
Creative, as that would be shooting themselves in the foot. I could
be missing something, though... (Hopefully!)
