Actually many of today's GUIs look like ones designed by script kiddies.
Especially gnome. It looks like one huge interactive amiga euro-demo with
shaded-elements-nightmare. KDE on the other hand is attempting to be a
verbatim clone of microsoft windows. Both contain significant elements of
suckage.
