speaking of which, this is one reason I made sure that the
EDL::Sequence class has a read(2)-like method that could be used to
support ecasound at some future time. i will be quite willing to make
sure that the entire class can be compiled outside of ardour for this
purpose, mostly because i can't see adding non-real-time facilities to
ardour any time in the foreseeable future. a mixer, now thats a
different question :)
