Hello. Would you please describe how lilo/fifo whatever are implemented
in MidiShare? I don't want to dig too deeply to MidiShare code because
I'm merely interested in algorithms which can be used in any implementation.

My shared memory recorder uses a ring buffer without semaphores. It uses
read and write pointers to "lock". Still I have at least two choises:
(i) A/D thread controls the disk thread's running, (ii) disk thread
controls its own running (by sleeping), (iii) some hybrid. Is MidiShare
addressing these controlling methods too?

I downloaded those papers at MidiShare site but I may not have access to
other papers on the topic. Thus discussions here would be great.

So, please lets discuss about these topics in LAD, and lets refer less to
existing implementations and papers.

Regards,

Juhana
