Sad but true. audio.netpedia.net should be considered permanently defunct. The
web server is always down (though I never have trouble getting into ftp to
change the site... not like it matters, nobody can see it!)

Since the Audio Qaulity HOWTO lives there too, that's been unavailable as well.

I would like to apologize to everyone for my not dealing with this sooner. A lot
has happened in the last month. I'll be finishing a big deadline on Tuesday and
so I intend to take action with getting the LAD pages and the AQHT online on
Wednesday.

The only question remaining is where to put them. Since my plans for the AQHT
require python CGI capabilities, I currently only know of two viable options.
Sourceforge is one; and Benno has kindly offered to host them at
www.linuxdj.com. Either one would be fine with me. Joern, if you have a
preference between those two, just say so. And if anyone else has an opinion on
this, I'd be glad to hear it. Otherwise I'll just pick one and get to work
Wednesday.

reading the FAQ I'm pretty sure we would.

If that's even possible, I think that would have to be done on netpedia's end,
and since they haven't answered any email from me, I would say it's unlikely to
happen.
When the new site goes up, we can easily do the usual redirection pages. It's
another story whether that will do any good. :(
When we have a new URL up and running, I'll have to do some searching for links,
and send out announcements to people to change their links.

Sorry for all this lameness,

Paul Winkler
