Hello. Earlier I wrote about Lucasfilm ASP system described by Moorer
and its disk scheduling algorithm described by Abbott, both in Journal
of AES. I found their patents:
4,497,023 Linked list of timed and untimed commands, Moorer
(Filed: Nov. 1982, Date: Jan. 1985 --- 1982+17 = 1999, 1985+17=2002,
which one is used for calculating patent lifetime?)
4,604,687 Method and system for storing and retrieving multiple
channel sampled data, Abbott
(Filed: Aug. 1983, Date: Aug. 1986)
Abbott patent seem to have a full C code listing of the disk scheduling
algorithm, with punch-in/out or so. Moorer describes the ASP board,
including event scheduling algorithms.
Take a look if interested: "http://www.uspto.gov/patft". I recommend.
I also found nice drawings of Star Wars spaceships etc. in their design
patents. ;-)
Juhana
