hello everyone !

there is now an "orphaned projects" page on the linux-audio-dev
homepage at
  http://www.linuxdj.com/audio/lad/ .

it is meant to become a repository of unmaintained audio software.
this is a call for developers to consider taking over maintenance of
such projects, and for authors to annouce their own projects there
if they can be no longer looked after.

currently, there is only one entry (a cd-player), but the idea is
that *all* orphaned linux audio stuff (of which there is quite a
lot) should be submitted there by the respective authors, to
encourage code re-use and maybe discover some pearls....?

this repository is a part of uwe hermann's
  http://unmaintained.sourceforge.net project, an attempt to
collect homeless free sources of all kinds for all platforms.

if you know of unmaintained software, please get in touch with the
authors and ask them to consider submitting their work.

regards,

jörn
