Help appreciated with autoconf - I've never had the time to learn it.
Yep, the delays in CMT are defined like that for RT reasons - I've been
meaning to include some more general (but slightly less RT) ones but
haven't had a chance.
The reason for the large number of plugins providing Ambisonic support in
CMT is that I happen to know that stuff backwards (see
http://www.muse.demon.co.uk/3daudio.html) and I couldn't resist the free
plug :-) If other people have pet projects (e.g. reverb, flange, chorus,
EQ, better dynamics etc) please feel free (&encouraged) to contribute to
drown me out!
I do agree that it would be nice to have a standard way to group/classify
plugins. From the CMT perspective the simplest option is simply to break
the plugins out into separate libraries. This has a small cost because of
extra link time and confusion for the user trying to find the correct
library - but would solve the problem. From the GLAME perspective perhaps
the plugin window could support folders? There are other options, perhaps
including adding an optional info call to the plugin library - but I'm
reluctant to do that at this stage.

Hi!
With the help of Richard Furse LADSPA support went into GLAME.
Its now tested and it works using the CMT plugin library.
Btw, I did not get the CMT library compile/link with IRIX - maybe
some more clever Makefile needs to be written -> use autoconf & friends?
And why the hell does LADSPA need those 99999 different delay and fbdelay
plugins??? I'm sure its because of "malloc()" is broken wrt RT. But, hey,
this can be fixed in other ways! Cant you just tell the plugin at
activation time what the maximum delay should be?
Also, for each mono/stereo/quad/XXL/foo/bar input type there seems an
extra plugin to be necessary!? This looks broken, too.
If this high number of plugins is necessary, there should be a way
to group them inside the cmt library.
Richard.
