Yep, this works fine. Tested with an alsaplayer plugin (unreleased) that
uses OpenGL and does its own event handling. Just an extra
XOpenDisplay() call next to the gtk+ X connection. BTW, I have been
thinking about writing a BeOS like widget like system that uses separate X
connections for each window, would greatly increase the responsiveness of
many applications. Yeah, I too hate the fact that *all* Mozilla windows
freeze when just one window is rendering or is figuring something else out
while other X events are happily *blocked* from being processed :/
