Stupidly enough none of mine implement it at all, I was dead set against
implemnting two slightly different methods, and run() seemed like the
best option, but with the benfit of heinsight I'm going to move
everything to run_adding(), as it's only a tiny bit slower, and provides a
superset of run().

I might implement run() for very fast+simple plugins as the extra speed
might be worthwhile there. Now all I need is a host that implements
run_adding(), obeys input range hints and allows real control values.

I'l probably doctor applyplugin.
