Marketing/shmarketing. The technical argument is quite straightforward
      Increased pre-emption -> increased complexity + slower throughput
Andrew Morton's "minimalist" approach to lower Linux latency seems to me to
be quite promising. Reinventing IRIX on Linux seems to me to be an error.
Code will tell.
