There is no increase in complexity over what is already needed
for scalable SMP. I'm not changing any kernel algorithms to
break locks and add explicit preemption points.
Throughput on a uniprocessor is a bit slower, and users
will be able to decided for themselves whether the increased
responsiveness is worth it. For me, the benefits are already
clear - I can listen to XMMS while I work without any audible
glitches.
