Howdy guys,

There's been some talk lately about QNX (realtime OS vendor, http://www.qnx.com)
going to be giveing away their OS (and graphical environment) for free, as long
as it's not used commercially. There was a short (slightly biased) comparing
article at http://www.benews.com/story/3463, comparing it against BeOS and
Linux. If one disregards from obvious mistakes it's a rather good article.

Despite QNX being almost entirely for emedding purposes they seem to have a
rather nice windowing environment nowadays (with some X compatibility layer).
It's not cutting edge (but it could be).

I just thought, because of Qnx's excellent realtime performance, it would be a
rather nice platform for realtime audio, wouldn't you say?

Check it out, get to know your competition ;-).

Regards,
Robert J
