I talked with a guy who wrote a driver for the ice1712 chip. Supposedly,
the chip bites. It would turn off for a nanosecond here and there. So
the driver writer would have to do something special to check if that had
happened and to compensate for it. The chip did something else really
stupid also, but I can't remember it.
