greetings adriaan, i tried to respond to your personal
email, but my reply to adriann at Kaichikubib etc....
was returned. i seem to have accidentally deleted the
returned mail, so i can't elaborate on why.

i'm not certain why things aren't working for you. if
the beat info is in the default song selector window
(the one which the turntables, beat calculator, etc launch)
then the turntables should know the beat info whenever a
song is loaded.

if you save the songdb to ~/.gdam/song.database, it will
be automatically loaded at startup.

i suspect that you are saving and loading the song database
by hand, in a way that i haven't tried yet. please give
details on how you are saving and loading the song database
so that i can fix / disable / document that behaviour.

as for generating the songdb, we support two formats. the
default is a simple text format, if the filename ends in .xml
then we save in an xml format. either should be easy to create
with perl.

you can reach me via geoff at ffem dot org,
but please double-check your return address.
