Fine. I will be there too :)

Yes, I agree.

Probably we should make some kind of 'interactive
installation' for the audience - like a modular synthesis
setup that can be controlled by unusual controlers.
I think of my Wacom tablet or some wired MIDI controlers.
This could run some hideaway of the LinuxTag. Or
we could do that instead of a lecture...

I think Ardour must be presented also. For this
we will need som prerecorded tracks to
demonstrate a 20 something track playback
with effects or similar... :)

OK.

I would not like to present that stuff to the public
- it would be just for our own if someone of us
is interested in this. I think especially Samplitue 24/96 is
an extremly advanced harddisk recording tool (even
better than ProTools:) - worth a look for those who
want do program something even better for linux ;)

I think you're right. Some nearfield with subwoofer
will be enougth...

I did it somehow comercially - now I ended up as a
C Programmer (for the money, you know). All the
equipment is currently used by friends of mine, who
produce mainly film soundtracks with that equipment.

I just think that after beeing 9 hours or so
at the fair, we could probably all enjoy a
barbecue somewhere in a deep forrest
or near a lake (there a such places pretty near
the LinuxTag) much more that sitting in
a cellar room and trying to make music...

Just to relax and get together, making plans
for the futur and enjoying a beer or too in
a nice and after all quiet place...

Anyway my 'studio' will be broken during the fair...

Yes, things like this. But especially for the last point.
Maybe we could also use it for getting sponsors...

Is it this what you've been thinking of, or what else?

Yes, some volunteers please...
Maybe Paul Davies? Would you mind to
volunteer for a (probably totaly free!)
trip to europe next summer to present Ardour?
Expect a lot of assistance...

robert
