Hi all,
here's the 5th and most probably last infomail I send to you about
LinuxTag..

More information
----------------
Judging from some questions I got from people in private, it seems not
all of you have read all of Joey's infomails - please do so now, they
really answer a lot of frequent questions ->
http://www.infodrom.ffis.de/Debian/events/LinuxTag2001/

Flyers
------
Time was very tight over the weekend, but I managed to put together a
flyer (unfortunately only in german - there was no time left for an
english translation). I had found a sponsor for it (Linux Magazin, quite
famous in Germany), and the flyers have already been printed and folded
(1000 pcs), I just need to get them from the printing office in a few
minutes. If you're interested, I can make the LaTeX source for the text
available later, maybe even with english translation.

Booth decoration
----------------
I prepared some A3 sheets with (what I hope are) answers to frequently
asked questions, like "What is LAD?", "What is MIDI?" etc, bilingual,
which we can attach to the walls. Still, if you got something you can
bring with you - printouts of a logo, or anything else to decorate the
otherwise quite dull white walls - please bring it with you. Also, some
table cloths would be good to protect the desks from our sometimes
sharp-edged metallic hardware.

T-shirts
--------
I had a copyshop prepare 12 T-shirts which I'll take with me, 18,50DM
per piece, but most are already "pre-allocated". Sorry about that, but
again time was very tight and almost no reservations were made in
advance (just Jörn, Matthias and Jürgen). I think they came out quite
cute. As written previously, if there is a high demand for more, we
might try to find a local copyshop in Stuttgart that could print it for
us.

Insurance
---------
Ugh. The local insurance agency that wanted to send me their offer
hasn't done so til yesterday, so I doubt we'll get anything fixed there
in time. Maybe I can arrange something with the LinuxTag orga folks; I'm
waiting for a callback from them as I type this. Otherwise we'll just
have to be careful and watch our goods closely.

Monitors
--------
Well, I had planned to get a new 19" by Saturday, but all local stores
didn't have it on stock (and ordering one would take several days), so I
can only take my own monitor with me. As for the second demo station, I
hope we can negotiate something with one of the other open-source booths
to get a monitor from them - last year it worked this way, at the Debian
booth we had 2 extra monitors we could lend to the PHP folks.

Exhibitor passes
----------------
Those of you who arrive tomorrow (Wednesday), there should be no problem
getting to the fair and into hall 5 where the main exhibition takes
place. Those who only arrive on early Thursday morning won't have their
exhibitor's passes by then - which means you won't be able to get in
before 9 A.M. I guess I should have some passes with me to give to you
when the fair opens and you come in.

Meeting point
-------------
As said, hall 5 is the place to go. A floor plan can be found when
surfing to http://www.linuxtag.org and then clicking on Fair -> Floor
plan. I'll arrive there tomorrow around 2 P.M. and will probably be
there most of the afternoon together with Jürgen. If you also come
tomorrow, we might want to go downtown some time later and have dinner
in a local restaurant. As for the others - see you on Thursday.

That's all folks - if you got urgent questions, ask them now (probably
by private e-mail as the mailing list seems to have a 1 - 3 hour delay)
or be silent forever :-).

I'm looking forward to meet you all there, see you soon,
Frank
