At least on both my Alpha and IA-32 systems the ALSA 0.9 driver for the
Delta 1010 is non-functional. ASoundlib just plays back 16 bit audio
and records nothing but silence. OSS emulation doesn't do anything at
all. Mixer support is non-functional. This is using C library 2.1.95,
ccc, gcc-2.95, and kernel 2.4.2. Unfortunately if downgrading the C
language derivative is what it takes that would break 64 bit file
support.
