One thing to note that there's no need for us to agree on using the same
server implementation. KDE desktop can use aRts as the LAAGA server, GNOME
can have its own server (or aRts?), ALSA can have a server, etc... There
many potential LAAGA hosts: Ardour, Mustajuuri, GDAM, ecasound, etc ...
It's just a question of who handles the actual soundcard input/output.
