Hey l-a-d folks --
One thing I truly truly miss from my Olden SGI Days is a handy app called
"apanel" whose sole purpose in life was to monitor and display audio
levels coming into the machine from (selectable) sources. Before I code
up some half-assed version of my own, I'm wondering if such a beasty
already exists (I don't recall seeing anything "out there").
I don't need no fancy bazillion-track plugin-enabled JACK-of-every-trade
thingy, just a simple display telling me when my input is clipping.
