Subject: [linux-audio-dev] Has anyone tested audio latency on the latest 2.5.4 kernel?

Hi all!
Has anyone bothered testing what is the default latency on the latest
incarnation of the Linux kernel? Are there any benefits of the pre-emptive
architecture and are the pre-emptive elements fully implemented? If the
kernel still yields high audio latency, is there anyone working on the LL
patches for it?
If the LL patches are still not being implemented in the 2.5.x kernel(s),
does anyone know when will that take place (if at all)?
Finally, does anyone have any idea when will Alsa make it into the kernel (I
thought it was supposed to be added to the 2.5.x kernel)?
Any info would be utmostly appreciated! Sincerely,
Ico
