you cannot legally package FST. please do not do this. its not likely
that steinberg will come after you, and neither torben nor I are likely
to either, but its a violation of various license agreements. i don't
like this, torben doesn't like it, but its the current situation.

FST doesn't even support VST SDK 2.4, which steinberg has pushed hard
for everyone to switch to.

Kjetil wrote vstserver, he didn't write any of FST (other than a patch
or two). He does know quite a bit about VST though. Both Torben and
myself can help out, and in addition, Ardour hosts VST's slightly more
fully than FST itself (though using the same basic code to handle the
integration of win32 DLL's and run a win32 GUI).

what parts of VST do you want to add support for, other than saving
chunks?
