i've worked with a predecessor of this thing, and it was nice. the
downside of it is that it's an integrating controller: you apply
constant force or torque (=constant displacement) along any axis, and
it's interpreted as constant velocity of your pointer. that means it
behaves like a joystick, not like a mouse. very nice for intuitive
manipulation of objects, but hitting precise values or locations is
quite hard.
