No this does not help, Qtractor doesn't store and restore all jackd
connections, so another tool, e.g. aj-snapshot is needed. Qtractor
doesn't allow to give understandable names to inserts ports, they are
named _insert_n, where n is the number of the insert, if you add a new
insert, the numbering is reorganised by Qtractor, _insert_4 could become
_insert_5. After making 5 minutes music, I now need to reconnect the
audio connections for the next 2 hours. You might claim, that if you
click the connecting dialog for the insert, it will only show the
assigned jackd ports and not all the other ports. I'm using 16 MIDI
tracks, this is true for track 2 to 16, but not for track 1, likely
because it starts with the first insert that is named "_insert" without
"n". However, I'm using connections to external gear, when the
connections get reorganized by Qtracor and aj-snapshot hen will do wrong
connections, this could damage speakers.

If Qtractor's mixer isn't intended as the real mixer, what mixer can be
used with Qtractor?

"I Know Where Your Cat Lives" iknowwhereyourcatlives.com is a data
experiment that visualizes a sample of 1 million public pics of cats on
a world map, locating them by the latitude and longitude coordinates
embedded in their metadata. The cats were accessed via publicly
available APIs provided by popular photo sharing websites. The photos
were then run through various clustering algorithms using a
supercomputer at Florida State University in order to represent the
enormity of the data source.
