I upgraded my RH7.1 box to 2.4.17-0.1 (via rawhide packages) and
/etc/issue still reports a 2.4.9-12smp kernel. ? Checked /etc/boot and
everything appears ok (links are correct, lilo.conf is ready for
action... But the durn thing says (after a successful boot) that it is
running a 2.4.9-12smp kernel. Ok, 2.4.9-12smp it is, then! -;^>=
Another question, kinda ontopic, is: are the kernel-source packages
from RH configured already to match the binary kernel packages? If so,
can I apply the ll patch to that and expect all the other settings to
remain the same?
