If you have more than one PC, i would suggest using SAMBA to share the
files from an ext2 partition on a linux box with win clients. With only
one PC, and dual-boot, you are sort of forced to use a fat-32 partition
- since windows clients will not be able to mount ext2 natively, where
linux can. (there are drivers out there for win-98 to mount ext2, but I
have had 'mixed' results with those)
