I don't know the patches, this guy was using, but remember, that Max or the
linux equivalents PD an jMax have to calculate the audio data, before they
can even send them to the soundcard.
If I hammer PD under linux with CPU consuming patches, I will also not
achieve that low latency, as might be possible with simpler patches. But as
I'm running PD with higher scheduled priority, PD will just eat all CPU
resources and actually freeze my machine for nomal usage.
