Can anyone tell me how to set up a
command line sox high pass filter?
I've read the docs and they have been
helpful, but they give no examples
and I need examples to learn.
I created a reasonable .wav file
from a cassette tape line-in but
the bass guitar notes distort. I have
 used to create this file:
 rec -V -r 44100 -s -w -c 2 myfile.wav

And tried to clean up the distortion
with:
   sox -V myfile.wav -t wav resample
   sox -V myfile.wav -t wav mask
And it did help a bit, but the low note
distortion is still obvious. Can I
filter it out with a high-pass filter?
Could someone give me an example?
For over a week I couldn't get Linux play
to work, no matter what I did. I even
changed sound cards, but no luck.
And all that time, it was just a bad
line from the cassette player to the
sound card line-in. I changed the line,
which was brand new with gold connectors,
to my old cheapo sterio audio plugs with
an added 1/4 inch Y connector and
rec created real sound files and play
works fine now. Never through anything
away! You never know when it will be of
 use.
