that's right, i compiled and installed guile 1.5.1, then recompiled snd and
all works fine.
at first i got a message saying:
[17:33:25] Unbound variable: play-until-c-g
so i added a line in your misc.scm
(load-from-path "play.scm")
i don't know if that was right (needless to say, i don't catch a single word
of those .scm files) but the error message went away.

ps. my snd is still silent, i can't get to compile --with-alsa :-(
