that's right, it's dorkbot time once again.
the big news: dorkbot-gent (belgium) has started up! actually they've
been going for a few months now under the name MACHINE CENTERED HUMANZ.
this will be their first meeting as part of the dorkbot family. hot dog!
dorkbot-austin (texas, usa) and dorkbot-melbourne (australia) are still
working the dorks out of their bots. if you're nearby and would like to
get involved, let me know and i'll put you in contact with the organizers.

2002, at the columbia university computer music center.
the next dorkbot-london meeting will take place on wednesday, april 10,

Philip Galanter:
Philip Galanter will give a presentation of a current work in progress.
He is working on software that generates plans for site specific wall
paintings based on solutions to the Traveling Salesman Problem. The
software uses a hybrid of genetic algorithms and heuristics to generate
patterns that are then manually applied.

David Birchfield:
David will show his installation piece, Interactions, which uses two
neural network based artist agents to control the presentation of images
and text downloaded from the web as directed by audience participants.
