The new version AlsaModularSynth 1.1.4 now loads all plugins found in the
LADSPA_PATH directories. Libraries that do not provide a valid
LADSPA_Descriptor_Function are ignored. If LADSPA_PATH is not set,
the directories /usr/lib/ladspa and /usr/local/lib/ladspa are searched.
When saving a preset, AlsaModularSynth now saves both the name of the
plugin library and the plugin name. So saving and loading of presets
containing LADSPA modules should work now. Due to this change of file
format I had to modify the examples as well. example.ams is now responsive
to pitch and modulation wheel (ch 0) and reverberation level.
example_bach_gounod is responsive to pitch and modulation wheel (ch 1).
Sometimes I wish, LADSPA plugins would provide more information about
themselves. The organ plugin from cmt e.g. needs special treatment of the
Gate, Velocity and Frequency parameters. But this would be a topic for
linux-audio-dev.

BTW AlsaModularSynth ignores notes whenever the polyphony is exceeded. So
if you play fast, either the polyphony has to be increased or the release
time has to be decreased. I recently tried to have AlsaModularSynth
release the note with lowest amplitude with a release time of 0.01 sec.
whenever polyphony is exceeded. However, this did not yet work without
clicks.
