I'm really interested to find a list of soundcards that work with
Ardour. Looking at Ardour's feature set it actually has more possibilities
than Protools. I would download Protools Free if they port to linux, just
to play around, but really I do like to see the source as I'm teaching
myself C/C++ and I really need to see good examples of coding.
To me Ardour is one of the most compelling apps for linux, but because I
just have a lowly Ensoniq ES1370 and can't use Ardour with my current
setup. I don't have a digital mixer, so using the RME Hammerfall would be
expensive cause I'd have to get the card and ADATS/Digital Mixer. Are
there any less expensive hardware solutions that work well with Ardour?
