true. but from the beginning, it was all about the posting
recommendations on the subscription page. *never* did anyone seriously
suggest to subscribe the user list to the announce list. and even if
someone did, i would outright refuse to do so, because it's a Bad Idea.

yes :)
10 mails/month should be ok for your inbox (since you want them anyway),
and the subscription procedure is the same as with LAU, so there's not
much hassle to it. even your list membership reminders for linux-audio-*
will come in one combined message.
as it is now, people decide whether to cc: another list based on whether
they expect or want comments/discussion, and which list to cc: based on
the subject, be it alsa-{dev|user}, linux-audio-{ev|user} or project
specific lists, which is fine IMHO.
