 An app needs to be coded specially to work with Jack, whilst the Csound
solution would let you deal with any audio app.. However, once an app has been
'jackified', i would think the performance would far outstrip that
from this C sound solution. Jack is carefully designed to provide low
latecy and sync between its different clients.
