Apparently it does but the cdda plugin doesn't work for him.

Good point but Joseph obviously does becasue oss does not support usb audio.

It is unnecessary for him to read up about that if he uses a working
version of xmms or alsaplayer, but it won't hurt if he does.

Again we had to reestablish that Joseph wanted to use his usb card and
not the via8233.
