Ah, I had missed that step. I hadn't had to do that with other stuff
that I'd built since, as installing them apparently moved all the files
to the right places.
(Hmm -- looking again at the Wiki, it says to put the tarballs in
/usr/src/
rather than /usr/local/source/ Can you confirm one or the other (or if
