Greetings,
I am trying to enable the hardware Dolby 5.1 decoder on my Sound Blaster
Live 5.1 card under Linux.
Using the emu-script that comes with the EMU10k1 driver I have managed
to install a Prologic patch, but this isn't the same as true 5.1 surround.
I can also install an AC3 passthrough patch, but it appears to just pass
the undecoded AC3 data out the digital interface. I'm looking for
something that tells the card to actually decode the AC3 stream and put
the sound out the provided 6 analog channels.
Has anyone had any success on this front?
tia,
Greg
