Hi Takashi,

the cvs version compiles just fine.
I have compiled ALSA with powermac and usbaudio, and noticed that usbmidi is
no more a configuration option, however it has been compiled and works
perfectly for MIDI OUT with my Roland SC-D70.

The internal audio of the ibook works OK and also the iMic is finally working
with ALSA (it seems to me that also the sound quality is better than the old
kernel module). The only thing that I was unable to get working is MIDI IN
from the D70, I tried also on my duron desktop with a recent mantel kernel
(which has ALSA inside!!!) and there too, no MIDI IN.

Maybe it's because the D70 is a strange beast and not very compliant with
standards...

I'm getting more close to a very exciting experience with ALSA, you guys have
done a very good job: I think that its architecture is far more flexible and
smart than any windows driver system.

I guess that in a year or two we'll be on the road to become THE best
platform at least for audio experimentation, if not for professional audio
(area in which propietary systems still have an advantage)

THank you very much, and thanks to other guys on this wonderful list.
