They didn't for a long time, but they did some weeks ago. There is a
well documented C++ reference driver under an Open Source license
available at:
http://www.echoaudio.com/Download/Developer/EchoGenericDriverA0.zip

I don't know, if actions regarding ALSA support have been started yet.
