Hi Juhana,
I have a Star Tech external IDE box -- you can put just about any IDE
device inside and it connects via USB. I got the cdrecorder to work
under Linux/Windows, however, you may find issues with disks of greater
than 80GB.
Portable is used loosely as the Star Techr requires A/C and can
accommodate a 5 1/4" device.
