I'll give it a go - will there a tarball release for the CVS
challenged?

We're recording plenty of material in the studio, but the mastering
definitely needs work before we can consider a CD release. Modern
recordings seem to all be very compressed and very loud, and although
I fear losing subtlety, I don't want people complaining that our CDs
are too quiet.

Can Jamin load an audio file without having Jack running? I tend to do
most of this type of audio tweaking on saved files, so realtime
operation for a program like this isn't really required here. The
fewer dependencies, the better!

Cheers

Daniel
