Most devices are supported.

All USB MIDI keyboards from Evolution, Roland/Edirol, and Yamaha.
From M-Audio/Midiman, only KeyStation, Oxygen and Radium models are
supported, and the driver setup of these keyboards is slightly more
complicated.

A typical MIDI command uses three bytes; at 31250 kbps, these are
transmitted in about one millisecond. USB uses a much higher data
rate, but all communication is packed into frames which have a length
of one millisecond. It is possible to send more than MIDI command in
one frame, however.
