Version 2.5.0 of the musical score editor NoteEdit is available:
http://rnvs.informatik.tu-chemnitz.de/~jan/noteedit/noteedit.html
New features:
- Octaviation (va - lines)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW: To continue the FINALE2000 <--> Linux discussion: I can't find
octaviation (va - lines) in "Finale NotePad 2003". Does the
full version offer va- lines ?
And even if: In contrast to NoteEdit Finale NotePad 2003 doesn't
play trills, (de-)crescendo, piano pedal marks.
So, I assume the FINALE developers would regard the octaviation
(va - lines) as a little nice decoration. But actually it should
shift the notes by 1 octave. So what's the result: Cacophony ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
- better mouse positioning support: A gray note near
the cursor snaps to the line where the next note
will appear
- (limited) drum export to ABC music
