I highly recommend slackware, Luke runs www.audioslack.com, and while
not complete (and I don't use his kernel since I have a smp box) its
VERY FAST with little effort in setting up. On top of that, there's
always high quality addon packages from www.linuxpackages.net. On ccrma
I got xruns with my delta1010 on the 128/2/48khz setting, on slackware,
0. Notably: I disable any bs server daemons (except ssh) as well as run
fluxbox instead of one of the larger wm/de's. I never have any problems,
minus a few things I have to compile and install myself... but thats not
too hard :-) Thats my recommendation anyways, I've tried most of them...
debian, ccrma's rh, agnula demudi, etc etc... I just find slackware to
be clean and easy, very much a choice though :-)

NOTE: Please understand this IS an opinion, but should not be taken as
flamebait and what not...

Cheers
-Tom
