It's also apples and oranges, because the application is different.
Most Linux is in data centers and ISPs where you might have 50 or
hundreds in a room. Most MacOS is on the desktop at home.
Comparing the total installed base is meaningless. If you are talking
about 'pro audio' (in the broad sense of anyone who uses their computer
for any music making/recording, not just people who do it for a living)
then MacOS and Windows have WAY more users.
But, many of those users I talk to are not as happy with their audio
platform as you would think.
